Default 5.3L Cam Swap Question

A buddy offered to give me a Comp Cam he had laying around. I think it could be to much duration for my 5.3L but wanted to ask the professionals on here if they thought it could work. I also need to know what else I need to make the cam work if possible. Thanks for any help y'all could give me.

Comp Cam #'s: INT. / EXH.
Valve Lift: .600 / .600
Dur @ .050: 252 / 252
Adv Dur: 314 / 314
LOB Sep: 110

if your duration at .050 is right thats a big cam 252/252
a few popular cams ran in 5.3s are 212/218, 214/222, 216/224, 220/220
this gives you an idea and these are duration @.050

ls6 cam with some 243 heads would be a nice setup, those would all be GM parts

Would I have to change lifters, rods or rockers?

Out of a 212/218, 212/222, 216/224, 220/220 or an LS6 cam assembly which would be the best for a daily driver? Also, would it be a good idea to go with a LS2 timing chain as well?

I really liked this setup when I had it.
Idled smooth as glass drove like stock but with way more power on tap.

About any cam will require upgraded valve springs. You can keep the stock rockers though. Timing chain and oil pump are sort of optional depending on mileage.
