BTW, we carry the wiring kit for $50 if needed. We can also reflash the PCM with a non-ETC flash for $50.

Naaa.......ALL C5 Corvettes are electronic throttle (97-04). Trucks started in 01.

John,
I will definatly need the wiring from you then. What do you mean a flash for a non-ETC, sorry I'm not really up on all the abbreviations. Basically I would need a flash that will be compatable with the manual TB swap, and eliminate the VATS, EGR, rear O2's, purge valve... What would this cost? Also what am I running into as far as wiring if I don't want to get an entire custom harness? Any tips?
Thanks,
Taylor

I guess I missed the part about you swapping into a '68. I was thinking you were converting a newer truck from electronic throttle to cable.

Since we also do the GM dealership PCM programming, I was offering a factory for you that had the cable throttle instead of electronic, but a factory flash won't be enough for the project you're doing.

We offer a nice stand alone conversion on the factory Vortec harness that makes it very easy to hook up; and also custom PCM programming so the engine runs correctly after the swap.

Here's what we offer:

We offer a factory Vortec/LS1 harness rework service as long as the original harness is in good shape, and the PCM location and overall appearance of the harness is acceptable to you. The rework service converts the harness to stand-alone use, and includes a check engine light, diagnostic connector, fuel pump relay, wires for a computer controlled cooling fan relay, and labeled wires for easy hookup to the battery, ignition switch, and fuel pump. Wires are also included for tach, speed, oil pressure, water temperature, and brake switch / park-neutral switch functions where applicable. The charge for the harness re-work is $450.00. The factory reworked harnesses can retain full emissions capability if desired.

We also offer complete PCM (computer) reprogramming. The basic charge for LS1 reprogramming is $300.00 and can include your choice of a number of things such as VATS removal, emissions equipment removal, lower fan turn on temps, raised rev limiter, gear ratio, tire size, etc.

All wiring harness work and PCM programming are done on-site, in our facility.

John,
I really can't afford to spend that much at this time for the wiring. I was wanting to do the wiring myself, I would think all I need is the PCM pin out diagram, am I wrong? I guess the major dis-advantage to not having you wire the harness is the dianostic plug. With the stock harness is there no way to do diagnostics?
Another guy does the flash work for $250 can you match that?
Thanks for your time,
Taylor

That's fine, you can do it yourself if you have some wiring skills. You can add a diagnostic plug when you're done.

John,
I do automotive wiring alot at work so I think I can handle it. I am not sure how to do the diagnostic plug, can you steer me in the right direction? Do you sell anything for this?
Thanks again,
Taylor

Yes, we've got the diagnostic plug assembled with wires and terminals for $16.
