Default 5.3 swap kings chime in please

Ok so For those that have been following my thread and help me pick my cam it has been great. But I am at a stand still as to wtf I am suppose to do next without chasing my tail and spending money on stuff I dont need. So as some of u know I bought my motor thinking it was a 2003 yukon motor ended up being a newer dod motor.

So I have been pm lpe trying to get a parts list together but because I work 3 jobs And dont have time to make calls for the most part to the guy thats doing my work and to lpe the pm way is going really slow so id like to hear some from some people who know where I am coming from on this

Truck
4.8 rcsb

donor motor
newer dod motor 5.3 all aluminium block and 799 heads with brand new 216/220 tfs cam installed, bryan tooley push rods ls2 timming chain, all new topend gaskets and 600 lift valve springs installed. Also the heads are milled .030

I need some info on making this motor work in my truck before I just spend the money on another motor so that I can have my daily back. I have been reading about the converter box but also about the dod delete kit. one of my questions is if I buy the converter box do i have to get the delete kit also?

The converter box has nothing to do with DOD, so yeah, you also need the delete kit.

^ u sir are correct. It looks like I am about to buy another motor and just swap everything over and sell the bottom end. I hate to do it but I would rather for it to be plug and play and less headache.
