Thats what im saying. May not be doing kuch now but will be helpful later. 300 isnt a lot of power but its not easy to get to the wheels. Not like people think. Spend the miney on stock 6.0 swap u woulda already been ahead.

lose the spacer and a good tune you should be about 275 on 93 octane to the wheels.

try the diablo 91 octane tune with 93 octane gas and set afr to about 12.4 and see where your at before you sell the diablo. but they seem to work better on the hemis.

here i attached a graph of a stock 2004 silverado with the 5.3

241hp @ 5300RPM and 264lbft @ 4200RPM on the 5.3L

the 5.3 is rated at 285 with a 15% loss that is 243hp which is pretty spot on.

that being said he has the lm7 swapped out for the l33 which has the upgraded 243/799 heads from factory

280 is very achievable with just bolt-ons

Cams are generally considered "Bolt-On" and the distinction being made between a Cam install (which uses all the OE parts) and a Turbo/Blower install which introduces a lot of custom parts.

It really depends on how you want to define "bolt-on" though.

Additionally, my HP estimates are based upon a Dynojet...I see some other guesstimates putting a Mustang dyno confidence boost to a simple tune.

He said he was shooting for 315 to the wheels. I already posted the factory rating is 285. Im just saying I think hes lucky if hes hitting 250 at the wheels. And without adoing at least everything hes already done pluse a cam and a good tune hes not going to see anything close to that at the ground.

Suburbazine: the dyno you posted was a pull in 2nd gear and uncorrected. you cant really compare those numbers to any other truck but your own.
