If I were you I would save up for a turbo or supercharger. You could probably get a good setup for your truck for under 5 grand. You are not going to be happy with the small to nonexistent gains from bolt ons.

Don't get fooled by advertised power gains that most companies make about their products. Cold air intakes will improve power but not as much as most companies claim. Throttle body spacers DO NOTHING. So on and so on.

If you want real power save your money and get a real power adder.

rockerjoe...wow left field

1.) start with a custom tune by one of the many people that do it. you will be able to update it from there with future mods
2.) Cold air (i would personally recomend volant or S&B
3.) Efans (ls1 with a harness made by anyone that makes them)
4.) New torque converter (do servoes/shift kit same time) (depending on how big you will want the cam I would say 3k stall)
5.) headers back exhaust (ceramic coated longtubes, i say a real good free flowing muffler and a cut out in there if you want to be LOUD
6.) cam (anything from 212 218, all the way up to say 224 224. Depeding on what you want or need.

7.) use the search button. you will find a WEALTH of knowledge. Welcom to ptrucks, get the fever.

Unfortunately I only had my headers on for 1 day due to some issues, but hands down that is the best mod I had done. I completely agree with the poster who said "it's like my truck lost 2-300 pounds." Revs faster, better throttle response and more power everywhere.
