Angry 5.3 with a Magna-charger

Dyno'd a customer 2000 model 1500 Z71 truck tonight for a base line.
I must say i was a little dissapointed with the results...
232rwhp & 350ftlbs from the convertor...

mods are stock 5.3 with
shorty headers
dual exhaust
magancharger 5.5psi kit(only made 3.5psi @5500rpm)
predator tuning
3:73 gears

am i crazy? or is this thing missing about 50 horse power?

Did you mean 332 rwhp?

232 is nuts. My 4.8 puts down 261 without a power adder.

How many miles are on the motor/supercharger? I assume that since you were showing low boost you are running the old side mount? If so, 300-325 hp with 350-360 rwtq is no too bad for that kit. That is what they are rated at.

not all dynos are the same. you can run on two different dynos and not
get the results.
dual exhuast might be hurting that truck not enough backpressure

I've used the same dyno for the last four years, and have had consistant results. The truck has about45K on the engine and 6000 miles on the side mount charger system... I figured it would atleast make 280 @ the wheels if not 300... I'm gonna tear it down for the cam swap, and check everything i can... I'm hoping the tune is just WAY off...tonight was a base line true test will come end of the week...
I compared it to my bone stock 99 6.0 liter that makes 260@ the wheels...man i hope this truck isn't just wore out....

Blown Chevy it hasn't had a "real" tune yet, that's why it got dropped off to me, all it has for software at the moment is some cookie cutter program from Predator.
I'll be going back tot he dyno end of week, after the new cam is in it, and retune the whole thing with edit.
