5.3 Ho
#11
never heard of the L33, anybody got numbers on it for torque and such? yep, that escalade engine looked appealing as well for not much diff in price. my Dad works for GM, so I can get a really sweet price on new parts- haven't checked how much better a price yet, but I'm sure good enough to be worth having a new motor w/o the hassle of finding a used one with decent miles.
i have 4.10 gears though, so my mileage with my 5.3 is only around 15 or so highway, i'm wondering how much different 6.0 mileage would be?

I installed the 5.3 h.o. in my 01 GMC sierra Z71 and I also bought a diablo sport in tune programmer for it but compared to my stock 5.3 there is definitely a noticeable difference. I'm so glad I spent the extra money and bought the h.o. I bought mine from jegs free shipping no tax and no core charge. It was 3245.00 for a long block. I searched and searched for days and days and jegs beat everyone. Especially considered free shipping that's 300 core charge saved 300 and no taxes saved at least 300. It only came with 50000 mile warranty not the 100000. So far I'm still happy with the h.o. I have exhaust and cold air intake with a k&n throttle body spacer and a few other. Simple add ons and its pretty fast I race new trucks and they are surprised wondering what's done to my truck. I have fun in it and use it for sure.
