Default 5.3 Coil Pack and Wire Upgrade??
How much HP can you gain from upgrading the Coilpacks and Wires on a 2000 5.3 in a Sierra? I will also be looking to do a BB custom tune in the near future!

Don't waste your money on newer coil packs, the factory ones are plenty good. Wires your not gonna gain really anything from them unless your factory ones are bad.

+1, nothing wrong with the factory coils, as for wires, go with either the stockers or MSD's. The MSD's may be better for clearance on header primaries as they have bendable boots.

Some guy that came into my work claimed he gained 20hp from MSD coils . I told him he was full of **** lol. Oh and his Z06 put down 500 rwhp with longtubes, intake, and those msd coils.
