Default 5.3 cam question. in daily driver Sierra 1500 4x4

I am pondering a cam swap in my 2000 sierra 5.3 4x4. I use it for campin and huntin. I know I don't need one for my cause but I want one. Has anyone had good luck with a cam swap and gaining decent driveable power for the scenarios I will be in

To start off. Are you gonna want to swap in a bigger stall also? Or stock stall?

I am not afraid of a new stall. I have a ls2 cam and springs from another project but I'm afraid my rpm band will be to high for my truck usages

212/218 low lift, or a tr 220. i have a tr220 on a 114 lsa 3200 stall on a 4x4 ext cab on 33's and it gets it and pulls like a champ.

for what you use the truck for i would do a 206/212, 210/218 or 212/218 on the stock stall
no need to over cam it and lose the power down low
