5.0 vortec cam

whats the best cam for my 1998 chevy 5.0 vortec (305) truck

i want performance and sound, not a big cam or anything. i would like a small or mild cam with idle and performance notice.

any idea ? thanks guys

Lt4 cam or there is the lt4 hot cam but that might need head machine work

You need a custom lower lift cam on a tight lsa, Like the ISKY 209/209, .465''/.465'', 106 lsa, or 217/217, .485''/.485'', 107 lsa. You run the Isky 235 D spring and remove the inner dampener, on the factory retainer. This is a drop in no machine work combo. You can PM me for details if you like...

im thinking of the LT4 Hot cam, but from what i heard that it good for top end and road racing like as for corvette, tran-am, camaro, but for a truck it have no bottom end. is thats true ?

im gonna swap to a 350 vortec heads completely rebuild with machine work for a cam.

either thinking of the Lt4 hot cam or zz4 cam cause after look at video on youtube with these cam in the vortec 5.7 trucks, and love the sound and waking the motor up, but the thing is I dont know much about these two cam and the different between them.
