Actually with the front end lowered I don't spin my front tires at all anymore. A simple turn or the torsion bars eliminated all my TQ steer and bouncy bounce.

Compare this launch

to this launch

Now I don't squeel the tires all the way down either

I'm not super powerful but for anything under 500rwhp I think simply dropping the front is fine unless you are hittin the bottle also. Then the 60' could overcome the drop and you'll have to do the limiters like Parish did.

i wonder if that does that more in 4wd rather than in 2wd.

Justin-

Can you powerbrake in 2wd w/o moving?

I guess I'll see if my brakes can handle the spool up in a few days

I'm sure I could power brake for a moment but once boost started to build I'm sure the tires will just go up in smoke. When i am boosting on the line I pretty much have the truck floored. If i do that in 2wd it's like doing a brake stand burnout. LOL

Besides, even if I could hold it still i would go up in a ton of smoke trying to launch in 2wd.. Without slicks you have no hope in hell of launching your lil truck if you can get boost off the line.

I ain't going anywhere near you from a roll though so don't get any freeway run ideas in your head :p

I guess getting a line lock would'nt help any. So what do you do to keep from redlighting. Is that rolling start giving you a little lower Et than you'd run from standing start? That is one wild looking ride though. Looks like it's right on the edge of disaster.

Dragon,

reaction time doesn't help lower your ET at all. Deep staging can help ET but it reduces MPH. At the very worst it was like I was deepstaged but I doubt there was much affecting ET or MPH other. Only thing I succeeded in was looking like a fool for redlighting without people know the WHY of it all. And all the crap in my centerconsole cubby flew out and into the backseat. Hahaha

Yeah dude I know about the RT vs. Et thing, I just thought even if you're rolling a little it'll prolly drop your et's a tiny bit. So whats the solution for your problem? Anyway to boost the brake pressure? A line locker on the brakes won't work?

he might just have to limit the amount of brake boost he tries to build and launch with that.

if he wants to launch harder then comes the small shot of nitrous or more cubes or higher stall or front mount turbo(should have less lag). lots of ways to do it.

i wonder what would happen with a 2 step in an auto. set it at something like 2000rpm. would it build more boost but not pull you thru the lights? this is asuming you can brakestall to a higher rpm than that now.
