A smaller cam will help move his heavy pig and the high flowing heads will help it carry the power up top. This is EXACTLY what Im experiencing with my 420 and a 224 cam. My heads flow 335cfm at 600 but Im only running a 560 lift cam, it drives AWESOME down low but still screams up top for what it is and being choked by the stock intake. Just my .02 from driving basically the same setup just smaller cam/cubes.

LOL.....partial dog I highly dought. What you have to keep in mind is (said this in my first post) they way the pistons were designed compression loss is much much more minimal than your standard flat top or dome piston. Meaning although the cr is 10.85 it will act more like a much higher compression motor. My engine builder told me he would be highly dissapointed if it made anything less than 700hp at the flywheel (peaking around 6300rpms).

Damn How did you get it all done for 10k?????????????
I'm into mine about that and I used the top end off my all bore 388 motor. I am starting to think that a "budget LSX" might be in order for the Yukon...maybe a 427 with a L92 top end, I bet I could get into that for 8k or so....
