because when you raise them, they get farther apart. both in width and front to back. think about it, the injectors aren't in there straight up and down and the new ones are longer. you'll see. it's not that big of a deal.

 

Where do the spacers go. Does someone have pics of the spacers? 1/8" pipe and 5/8" long approximately?

 

I only asked that, because I didn't need to do it. I put spacers in and everything still fit like a glove. I didn't have any trouble not manipulating the rails. Nothing was forced, it just popped right back in.

 

If you look on your fuel rail, you'll see 4 bolts, I believe, holding it down. Just remove the 4 bolts and place the spacers underneath the tab that the bolt goes through.

 

Now I think I understand. They go around the bolts to raise the whole assembly up. Then will I have to get longer bolts to?

Yes. The whole process from start to finish takes maybe 5min once you have the spacers and new bolts. Changing out electrical connections will take considerably longer.
