410 gears and 28"slicks ?
Well I just ordered a set of Et streets 28x11.5X16 tires
Now here is my dilema what gear should i go with now?
I've got 342's from the factory
I'll be replacing the g80 with a eaton posi in the next couple of weeks
I'm not sure what gear to go with 373's Or 410's
i don't wanna run out of gear in the 1/4.
I wanna finish in 3 third
Planning on shifting the truck at 5800 rpms maybe a little lower depending on how much boost I'm making with the smaller pulley
any Ideas on what i should do

GMC SKI, are your et streets on back order, mine are? What rims did you end up getting?
I went with leftovers from ceterline direct.
16x9.5 5" backspace billet. wiegh around 20lbs. <img border="0" alt="[USA]" title="" src="graemlins/patriot.gif" />

Re: 410 gears and 28"slicks ?
I,ve got 4.10s with 28" slicks and there is plenty of room. At 103mph I'm around 5400 rpm. Found a formula that works and it goes like this
4.10 gear x 115 mph x 336 divided by 28" =5658 rpm. Add a few hundred rpm for the converter slipage and you end up with 5950 rpm at 115 mph in 3rd gear give or take a little.
If you can go this fast in the 1/4 you might need to change something and stay out of my neighborhood!

I went with the same thing, 28.11.5 on 15's though and an auburn unit with 4.10 gears. I was wondering how high the rpms would be at the end, thanks for the info.

Re: 410 gears and 28"slicks ?
I also have 28in. tires. I would go with the 4.10s, although I have never made a full 1/4 mile pass with my gears. My best 60ft is 1.779 on the juice, it was cold and this was spinning.
How long have you had the procharger on your truck? Do you like it? Hard install? I will purchase some 42 injectors for my pick'em up.
