4-Wheel-Drive performance question...
#1
What do you guys think about supercharging a lifted 2001 Ram 4x4 to gain a little power? The lift isn't much, it's only 3" and running around 33'ish tires. I have an awesome deal on the supercharger kit (procharger) but I don't want to throw this on and have HUGE other problems. Opinions please
I think as long as I drive relatively sensible it should be ok, but I also know Dodge's are notorious for burnin transmisions... :dunno:

Daily driver... it's mainly driven on the street, and sometimes to work. If I were gonna torture it off road I could see a problem, but it shouldn't be too horrible on the street, I hope

Dodge trannies are crap if they still cant put one behind a Cummins and make it out alive, why would a super charged gas engine? if you want speed i wouldnt. it will be slow as hell being towed to the shop for new transmisions

Hey, my 95 has 33's and a 4" lift. I think transgo makes a shift kit for the RH46 or whatever it is called. I personally don't worry about the tranny, mine is the NV4500 (M5) with factory 4.10 gears.
