Does anyone have 4 link with airbags if so did it help your traction?I have a 2001 Chevy ext. cab 5.3 with a supercharger, headers, magnaflow exhaust,3500 stall conv.,transgo shiftkit,4:10 gears and eaton posi.My best time so far 13.6 at 101.67 that was before the conv and transgo.I need to find some traction. Thanks for any help.

Air bags do not hook up at all. They are just too soft and don't allow for the tire to stay pushed to the ground. A four link is probably a better traction setup, but go with something like coilovers in the back. Or, just try some caltracs first. Caltracs have a pretty good rep. here for giving good traction.

I fabricated a custom air bag suspension for my 01 sierra and YES it gets better tracion.I Used a torsion bar setup w/ panhard bar . You have to adjust your psi to find the "sweet spot" <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

You're correct it's probably not the best setup for drag racing. But I gaurantee if you want the appearance effects of bags with a 4-link setup in the rear alot of the traction problems will disolve. The adjustability is tremendous if done right. If your serious about racing have the installer weld in coil-over brackets in the rear. When at the track just bolt them in and deflate the bags.
