4.8 w/ZO6 cam , pushrods, springs.
#1
I have been looking on Ebay and have noticed that a few people are selling the 2002 ZO6 cam, pushrods and springs. Would this cam be good for passing CA emissions and still making good power throughout the rev range. I sometimes tow the family boat and would like to keep what low end tourqe that I have. Although since the 4.8 has such a short stroke with good flowing intake and nice long rods, could I expect a decent upper rpm range increase in power?

If you want to keep the torque, don't do the ls6 cam, especially in the 4.8L. The 5.3L's lose low end torque with the cam so the 4.8L would prolly lose a lot more.
