Default 4.8 vs 5.3 fuel system

5.3s were FFV. 4.8 was not.

It seems like ALL 5.3 trucks were FFv in 03. what changed?

is it the hydromoter in the gas tank that detects the fuel composition?

can my 6.0 now run E85?

My 03' was not FFV when it had the 5.3 in it.

I believe if your VIN ends in a Z, it means you can run E85.

Yes if it has Z in it then the supporting stuff is there to run E85 but Im not sure if the actual engine can run it though. May be the same but you have all the rest of the crap to run it.

flexi-fuel vehicle. Allows you to run E-85 which is an 85-15% blend of corn alky and gasoline.

105 octane and burns cleaner (less HC i believe)
