I thinking it will be a $4,000 option. And will more than likely come with a 14sf rear end a a 6l80E.

I just hope they will let you order it in several models and trim levels. And am sure a W/T version will be offered.
Well, for now GM has placed nearly all their RWD deveolpment on hold pending decision on the upcoming changes to CAFE standards so I certainly hope they get this one right.

That is impressive. I get 26 combined in my Vette, 19 for my pickup, and my wife gets 30 in her G6. I could use a car that gets 40+ mpgs.

I was hoping for a GM 1/2 ton diesel soon and trade my 99 in on it and be all diesel! And start making my own bio-diesel! Diesel is the way to go! Not to mention its the better mileage plus diesel is cheap than gas now!

I miss the days when you could get a 6.5L in anything!

Well the Joe Gibbs truck is made by Joe Gibbs. GM just puts them on their lots. The lightning isn't made by an outside company.

Small detail, but it's no different then lets say a lingenfelter(sp?) vette or a hennessy viper(the ones where he actually does stuff to instead of just stealing customer's money).

Yeah that is exactly what I am talking about. Now if you want a Suburban they you have to tow with is the 6.0 which is a great engine in itself but not torquey enough to tow big loads without a lot of revs. There still is no diesel available and the big block isn't available now either.
