it should run fine down low and when he punches it, should run like stock. has any tuning modifications been done at all, if not then there is some kind of problem that probably isn't directly related to the turbo. the lag is probably normal but he should be able to brake boost it once the tune is fixed up.

does it have drive by wire? does it fall off hard exactly when it sets the code or does the boost just start to fade as the rpms go up?

he siad it falls off soon as he gets the light but its not drive by wire. it has no tune now it use to have hypercraper on it but he sold it. it use to idle funny already but did not have the lag down low until he put the 2" pipeing on for the turno could that couse it to maybe not be able to pull air like it should. should he go with the 2.5 the turbo is in the back like sts. it use to brake stall good too until he put the piping on also. he installed the turbo on the exhaust side then drove it for a day or 2 to make sure his oil return and everything worked then he proceeded with the charge pipes. thats when he got the lag down low and the stall problem. but above that he said it is great untill 4000 when he gets his light and it stops pulling.

hmm, sure sounds like that 2"pipe is the culprit. what do the sts kits run?

most turbos pump a little air even at idle, i wonder if it is a combo of an odd ball turbo and the 2" intake pipe. i bet the sts kits run 2.5"

yeah he's been asking about the the pipeing size on the sts kits but noone seems to want to answer that. it is a odd turbo its for a desiel but you would think it would just give bad throttle responce and then be ok. i'm not really sure hints the reason i'm talking to you

yeah tell me about it. i geuss he found this thing called tunercat or something that suppose good to tune it with. maybe we can try that table you were talking about when he gets his tuner. i'm not there so i'm just doing this by him talking and me thinking and trying to help. got the boost figured out now just need it to get it to run ok. maybe you can talk to some of your dyno buddies and see if they have seen any of this. hes got these questions on three different forums with no help yet. the maf table thing sounds good when he get his tunning software. i just don't see him maxing out the maf already

not maxing it out but flowing more than he should for a given rpm and map reading. it is a test they run to see if the maf is working.

OK, I'm up and at work now.LOL

Its been running like crap for months. When i punched it before it kinda hesitated but quickly jumped off the line, now if i punch it its fighting not to die and slowly picks up. Odd thing is it takes off nice and hard and drives like stock at part throttle. Even with no boost it runs like crappy stock at part throttle.

With the 2" pipe, STS does run 2.5" on there 5.3 and 6.0 kits. I think if a 6.0 can launch just fine and have no bogging issues with 2.5" i shouldnt have too much with 2". Am i right? I am putting that fuel pump i got from you on it today to see if that helps the low fueling issues I'm having. I hope its just the intank pupm going bad and pushing low PSI. If not i will get a new regulator next. If that doesnt work I'm going to set it on fire before i pay almost $500 for a spider injector.

I ordered an FMU by the way. It will be here in a couple days.

I think the FMU will help. That's what the 4.3 supercharger guys use to add fuel. TunnerCats looks good, for tuning, but there only down side it there's no scanning or logging with them. As far as your low speed bog, not sure whats going on with that, sounds like its not really a fault of the turbo it it was doing it before the turbo.

It wasn't doing it as bad by far. Its still pretty fast, like without the turbo at 1/2 and 3/4 throttle. Just at WOT it is alot slower than 1/2 throttle.

I went to a junk yard and got a spider and fuel pressure regulator. I will have them on in the morning. I hope it helps out some. What about upping the fuel with the regulator another 5psi? The popets are set to open at 55psi, so 60psi they would surely open right?

BTW, the one from the junk yard has been sitting for just over a year. Its soaking in gas now, but is there anything else i should do to it be ensure they work ok?
