I tried on my 2004 4.3L v6:

K&N intake
JBA headers
removed cats, single mandrel bent 3" exhaust
electric fans
march underdrive pulleys
CFM-Tech bored throttle body
75hp wet shot NOS
MSD 6a, accel coil, MSD wires
4:10 rear gears
HPTuners tuning software

..and with all of that. It was alot more fun to drive compared to stock, but no where near as fast as a V8 with the same parts.

So I swaped my 4.3L for a SBC and used alot of the 4.3L performance parts

V8 swap

It's a pain in the ***, but worth it. Just going from a 4.3 to a 4.8 was a big difference. Now I've found myself wanting more and probably gonna go with a 5.3 now, but this time it'll be alot easier

Tune, CAI, exhaust, and take some weight off (lighter wheels, spare tire, fiberlass hood)

SilveradoMMk any noticable difference with the march pullies? How much you paid for them, and where can I find some?

I don't have track times... My Gtech claimed

0-60: 8.04sec
1/4: 16.01
HP: 237@5300rpm
TQ: 300@3200rpm

We'll see what the new V8 can net

Cheers ~Mykk
