Default 4.3 to 6.0

Is it much harder to swap a 4.3 to a 6.0 than swapping a 4.8 or 5.3 to a 6.0? Is it just a matter of motor mounts? Is the computer the same? I realize it would have to be reprogrammed. I also assume I would have to go with a 4l60e or 80e. Is that correct? I dont have a truck yet. I am just pondering the right choice for me.

well it will take some time and some money to swap a 4.3 to a 4.8-6.0. The mounts are different, crpossmembers, connections to the tranny, pcm, wiring their all different. The best way to do this is buy a 4.8 truck and drop in a 6.0 which is a direct swap and would only take a few hours. Youreally wouldn't even need tuning most likely.

You will need alot of parts to make the 6.0 work where a 4.3 was. The 4.8, 5.3 to a 6.0 swap is about a half day project.

if youre planning a motor swap always go for the 4.8 cause still a mean **** motor i am sure a couple of people can vouch for that on here and the cam and everything will fit the 6.0 and like they say no different mounts or anything
