Default 4.10 and Eaton installed

Well I finally got my truck back after 3 days!!! I don't know what took the old fart so long. They were howling as I first left at about 25 mph but it seems to have gone away. I haven't gotten on it yet but I can tell an improvement. Also I downloaded the HPP3 4.10 speedometer program and at 70 mph it is exactly 2200 RPM compared to the 3.42s which did 1900. I was expecting 2300 or a little more so I am really happy about that. I am going to be easy on it tomorrow too and make a road trip, then change the oil and take it to the races Saturday night. I was running around 15 flat with the 3.42 open. What kind of times should I expect now?

Hey parish thanks for all the replies to my emails about the posi. It was really helpful. The 14.99 was when I didn't spin at all. However I couldn't give it much gas though until I was 20 or 30 feet out of the hole. I am hoping for a 14.6 so I can spank this new yellow Mustang GT. For as much as all that **** costs, that seems reasonable I have the ASP pulley sitting in my room too, that would put me there for sure I think. Later dude.

Edit- Its a 2000 SCSSB 5.3 Free mods, HPP3, K&N intake, TR55, Dual 2.25 inch exhaust with Vforce muffler (not true duals), LS1 fans, Corvette servo, Hayden cooler, and finally Eaton posi and USGear 4.10. I will also remove the spare tire and tail gate for the first time. That is close to 100# I would think.

your probably going to have about the same traction problem especialy with those new gears but you will be taking off faster.

i am going to put your ET at 14.65 with the weight reduction but it will take a few tries to figure out your new launch.

The old rule of thumb is a 1/10 of a second for every 100#s so that would put you at a 14.8 w/o the posi and 4.10.

Don't expect to gun it off the line but a posi unit does help alot, i figure, from trucks i have seen, you are looking at a 14.45 to a 14.55.

And i hope you take that mustang to school
