Default 350 5.7 tbi or carb swap???

this might be like beating a dead horse but i need some advice on weather i should modify a tbi set up or go carbed. i would like 400 horsepower but can deal with 350+. this is not a daily driver however i would be driving it maybe on fridays and weekends and to car meets. i kinda wanna do something different then the typical ls swap(i am not going to ls swap the truck....). im not saying they are bad just saying i wanna be a little different. truck is a 1993 single cab 350/5.7 with a 5 speed trans.

thanks in advance

IMO I'd stick with the TBI, do the mods to it and have some fun tinkering with it. Anyone can slap a carb on a small block and make 400 hp. I personally like the challenge of making something decent out of a tbi engine, although I'd be hunting for more low end torque for a DD.

Oh, and look up the EBL FLASH, guys have had good success using that to tune their engines. Basically works like efi live or hp tuners once you convert the ecm.
