3" exhaust too much?

Yea, no Corsa available...I went with an 18" Magnaflow...it's still in the box but I hope to be able to get the exhaust together this summer. I also bought a Magnaflow 3" stainless tailpipe that I got for $56 
I hope to be able to use it but cut the pipe off and dump it after the axle...I like the stealth look of no pipes sticking out on this truck

Magnaflow part number 12249, 5x8 oval, $90.89...I have pics of the muffler and cut out dump pipe floating around here somewhere, I thought it was in that thread that I linked to but I guess not...might be in the truck stop...

EDIT: Might be a stupid question but since that muffler is already stainless, couldnt i just run stainless pipe from the 3" cutout to the muffler, then to the exit in front of the rear tire like I want?
