We purposely left some TQMgt in there to buy some time for the tranny.
Iw guess the only thing left to do is buy and install the other stuff and see where we end up.
The more I think about it, the more it sounds about right.
It was 97 outside. I had been driving for near 2 hours prior. They had only 1 fan blowing from beneath. The IAT's were pretty incredibly high he said. This is all through a stock unmodified airbox and stock manifolds.
We tried upping the timing a bit and got some KR. It isnt tuned too aggresively as per my request. He is doing my next one for $100 plus dyno time. He said he would be willing to bet that modifying the airbox and some LT's would put me near 315 at the wheels. He said he is expecting near 400 with 11# and alky. He seems very knowledgable. He lives in the tampa area and his name is Jeremy. Has anyone heard of him. I really dont see what else he could have done. It was on a dyno with a wideband and we made probably 10 passes to see if there was anything left in there.

That sounds really bad bro. My truck with only a drop in K&N and flopro mufflerwelded in pulled 259.6rwhp on a dyno jet.

Ya, there is definately something worng. I have a boost gauge and it shows about 5 pounds so no leaks. Fuel and timing are as on target as possible with the wideband and dyno testing. What else could it be other than hot air and restrictions.

Not real sure. This tops my WTF list. Heat takes alot, but not that much. You should at least put down 310rwhp in hot weather. 340-350 in good cool weather.

What rwtq did you put down? I hit 304.x back then with those mods. That was back in 02'. Outside temp was 80*+.

I dont even think rwtq was over 300 . Guess Im just going to fume for a few months until I cant stand it anymore and then work my way down the list. LT headers, 34' rad, 160 Thermo, SMC kit, 11# pulley, should take care of most of my probs. If I dont hit near 400 with that this thing will be on Ebay real quick.

At 5psi he shouldnt be all that hot though. Hell I used to run 9psi on my Vortech withouth any kind of I/C. Remember back when supercharger companies said intercooling didn't work for anything but turbos?

The stock airbox could be hurting you alot too. I missed that part. Stock manifolds will hurt but not that bad. My budies totally stock LS1 Formula puts out 467rwhp with 8psi on his ATI system and he has stock manifolds.

Sounds like you just need to work with the intake and exhaust and figure out why your IATs were so high. I tell you what though with Alky it's a whole different level of power.

Thanks. I would love to have a leg to stand on with reference to blaiming it on the installer, kit, or something else. I just dont see or feel anything "wrong". I also dont have a baseline to compare it to. I may have only made 225rwhp before the blower!! When everything is done, I expect to have a quick truck, but nothing special. Im thinking about a cam later. The tuner said he gets near 50rwhp from blower cams like a 224/224. Im just going to have pretend Im fast and read you turbo guys kill stories. 5K and Im not even at 300rwhp is hard though

My best advice bro is just keep your head up. If the truck feels faster then enjoy that and work on it as money permits. Even try to fab up a HomeDepot intake for it

I've done mods and been so diapointed I wanna drive the vehicle off a friggin cliff only to spend more time on the thing and end up happy again so just hang in there

Don't know anything about the problem but am watching it closely for resolution as my engine and Radix is going in mid-summer and want to know what to look into if I show similar results.

Anyone else curious about the Wester's tune being "way off"? I have been wrestling with Nelson vs. Wester and would like to hear more about this...
