2500HD / Denali
Guys if the Denali and 2500HD have the same motor why does the denali have 25 hp more is it simply different computer programming? if so why can't you just have the Denali info. installed and pick up 25 HP?

Re: 2500HD / Denali
Me & Joseph talked about doing that a couple years back, but never persued it any further. We were thinking of uploading the Escalade program into my 1500HD. My main concern was not knowing how (or if) it would affect the transmission, since you would be uploading 4L60E/AWD parameters into a truck with a 4L80E/2wd.
I don't know if you can load just the engine program alone, or if you have to load everything. Need to ask someone who knows more about it than I do, which is not very much. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

We were talking about this a while back on Fullsizechevy.com and came to the conclusion that it's from a different cam and a couple points higher compression.
