So I've gotta stick with a performabuilt stall to maintain my transmissions extended warranty and plan on running a TR220 or similar cam. I've read that 3k is the best stall speed for these cams but could I get away with a 23-2500? Its the biggest stall thats offered with trans. I've got.

I would think you should be fine, I used to have a similar cam and only had a yankTT2600 stall. It worked just fine for me.

honestly 2500 isn't much of a stall at all, that's like stock. To feel like you have anything, your going to want at least a 9.5" 3000+ converter.

thats small for a 220 cam
At the track on slicks it will hook and bog cause you need more stall to get into the powerband

My stock converter could brake stall higher then that. I've had 6 different converters and I really think 3000+ is needed.

It may never see a track, much less slicks. Its a DD I'm just trying to figure out if there will be any drivability issues with that combo.

its not much but i guess its better than stock.. I have the TB verter and its around 2800 and its decent.

I had the tr220 with the yanktt3000 and it worked good, and I could hardly tell it was a 3k until you went wot.
