Default 24.3mpg!!!!!!!! I cant believe it myself........

I am putting my fire suit on before I post this.

I did a little more tuning yesterday and earlier today that somehow seem to have netted some awsome mpg gains. Like I said in another post, I added 2.2ms dwell which gave me a noticable power increase. Now running 35* timing at WOT. I also thought I would give the "lean cruise" thing a try. I copied and pasted all the data from a holden tune in the HPT bin. just to see if it did or didnt work. I dont know if it was the added dwell and timing or the "lean cruise" thing works, but I took a trip to Portland and back with my readout hovering back and forth on 24.2-24.3mpg!!! I have compared the readout to hand calc more than a dozen times and never had more than .2 difference, so I'm sure its really close. Traffic was moving 65-75 depending on which stupid Maine driver I got stuck behind, and it took so little throttle to cruise at those speeds. It felt alot like my Camaro did in 6th gear, just bairly touch the throttle and your cruising 70.

Alright, let me have it.

That sounds like a tune worth sharing.

i havent checked the plugs yet. You cant log the O2's at part throttle. I got no ping/detonation/ or KR at all so i think its fine though.

what about loging for comanded a/f ratio. it should be commanding a higher a/f ratio for lean cruise.

From what i've heard and tried. Although Lean Cruise settings is present. On all vehicles except those made by Holden, Lean Cruise is hardcoded in the OS itself to be disabled.

There is no way the lean cruise worked by copying the tables. Did you happen to change 02 Rich/Lean vs Airflow?
