Question 231/237 Cam for a 383 stroker???

Okay i am in the process of building up my 383 motor i still need to choose some heads and a cam. How would a 231/237 595/595 lift 112lsa work on my 383 motor? I think i am more worried about it being to big of a cam than too small, i don't want to power to come on too early and i don't want it to come on real late either like after 5000 rpm's. i am asking u truck guys because it might differ a little bit since trucks are a little heavier than a f-body.

thanks

I have a 408 and a 230/230@112+4 cam. It makes peak power at around 5700, with a truck intake. I would think that the 231/237 would peak around 6200 with no advance and a slightly small motor.
I would strongly recommend my cam for a broad torque band. I caught it from Thunder Racing, you can call them and see what they say.
Hope this helps.
