the 243's flow much better and have a smaller combustion chamber for added compression. The 243's are the heads from an LS6 while the 241 is the head off an LS1.

Yes they will, but they may drop compression on your 5.3. They are designed for a 10.5 on a 5.7... not exactly sure where that will land you, but I bet someone will chime in.

if i remember right, you gotta mill about .030 off a 241 to maintain stock compression swapping 862s

I had a 224/230 in my 5.3 with 3.73 gears and a 3k stall. It needed a 3600+ stall but once it was in the power band it pulled to 6500rpm like a beast. Keep your 862 get them ported. Get some 4.10 rear gears or deeper.

**** im just trying to hit 7's lol.. think imma just go with a 224/224 and a 3200 stall...i have 862's on it that i done work to
