From what i can tell, its a FMS Cam FM-5 112 +4

What i want to know is, would a stock TQ converter work with this cam temporarily while I save up for a Yank TT3000, Vigilante 3000/3200 or even a TBSS converter?

Also, who makes a good cam with those specs? and prices?

I'm gonna go poke around on Summit and Jegs for awhile and see what I can find.
I guess it all depends on what you want to do with your truck. I daily drive mine. It will see the track a couple times a year. MY CAM WORKS JUST FINE WITH THIS CONVERTER. Is it the best choice, probably not. If you want more of a drag truck, then you need a bigger converter. I like my good gas mileage.
My idle is set at 680 in park and 640 in gear. Hope that helps.

thanks for all the input guys. Circusboy, did you like your TR220 cam? I think i remember seeing another video of your truck with a 220/220 114lsa cam.

and also, will there be a huge driveability difference between a 112lsa and a 114?

who makes a good TR220 on a 112lsa? comp?

A 112 will be fine for driveability, esp if you dont go crazy with the cam. Mine lopes pretty good with a 222/224 on a 112.

A TR220 is called a TR because its sold by Thunder Racing, they are ground by comp, and I beleive have their own lobe profile made for Thunder Racing.

The 220 cam was just about the perfect balance between making power and conserving gas mileage with my setupl. It's a great cam, just not what I really wanted. I was talked out of getting it on a 112 LSA. I really wanted it on a 112 LSA. If I would have purchased the 112 it would still be in the motor, lol. I have a high tolerance for what we call "daily drivability". I really wanted a better lope and some more power, so I decided that if I was going to change the cam I would go bigger as well. It made 15RWHP and 15 RWTQ over the 220 cam

I don't think it will be a huge difference in drivability if the only thing you change is the LSA. I think the 112 is a little more work for the tuner.

mine surges a little at 1000 RPM and below, heavy traffic conditions. Other than that I'm very pleased with my setup.

my thinking is to stick to a 212-218 for a daily driver and run a 2200 stall, no need to swap gears and get crazy on a daily.
i drive more than 20 miles a day so if this a same scenario for you thats what i would stick with, thats my .02

RED04, that sounds badass. Im going to be running Pacesetter LT's when i get my tax return back, so hopefully mine will sound that good. I'm also looking for a good flowing muffler, prefferably quieter, since i already have a cutout when I want to be loud. I just want something that flows very well.
