Default Wtf! This Cam Rocks!

The cam is in! I took the stall I had out & sent it out to have the flash speed brought up another 500-700 rpms so i have the factory in now.

the cam was a custom ground cam 224/224 .589/.589 114lsa. They had some special accellerated ramp rate ground in that they refuse to tell me.

driving impressions: this cam is Nasty! I changed my shift points to 7000 rpms & it pulled the whole way strong! I could not believe the amount of pull this cam generates above 3500 rpms. I will say it compares to my 70 shot when it turns on. I had some problems with tuning my idle, it dropped my map readings to 63kpa's & idled horribly rich. I was able to fix this by adjusting my ifr's for that kpa. it lost only a small amount of low end torque compared to the 212/218.

I took it out to the track saturday and ran slower than previously, but I spun all through first & second & could not lay on the second stage of nitrous until third. a couple of times I almost lost control hitting second. when the stall goes back in I will have to by slicks. I am betting on a flat 12 or high 11 once i get everthing lined out

if some one could host a few sound clips I could send some in, it sounds like a race truck @ idle, just nasty, not so much that it is unbearable though
