Default 212/218 cam ?advance?

I recently installed a 212/218 .529/.532 114lsa cam in my truck.
How many people have this cam and how much did you advance it? 2 or 4 deg?
Did you like the outcome?

Installed straight up,does everything it should as far as driveability with minor tweeking. LS6 springs very quiet valvetrain, has spun to 6K RPM,driven 30K+ miles and about 20-30 times per tank never an issue, has more lope than my buddys 220/560 114Lc.Would do this cam again? No.I would want .560 lift basically free HP.I bought mine used for $200 years ago when this was considered a decent size cam for the trucks.

I have the cam as well. Installed straight up. Im very happy with it. I had to turn up the idle a bit and need to do a little more tuning to get rid of the cruise control effect Im getting. It gave me quite a bit more power down low.

Its referred to as throttle follower and throttle decay if I remember correctly. I'll have to check the exact tables. Im trying to cram as much info as possible in as short a time as possible

What kind of mileage are you guys seeing with them? I'm considering one too but I don't want to suffer too much mileage. (going into a 4.8 )

Im not too sure. After tuning I probably stayed the same or gained a little bit. I try not to drive it often enough to let the milage get to me

The reason I was asking if to advance it or not, the guy I bought the cam from about 2mnths ago, told me to advnce it 2 deg and some local guy told me to adv. 4 deg. At the same time that I put in the cam, I took off my charger so I really miss the low rpm trq, I am just trying to get the most power down low out of the cam. I would of have gone with a bigger cam but I already had this one laying around and could't afford to buy a new one.
