Default 2008 Sierra 4.3 swap to 5.3

Hey guys, I’m new around here. I’m sorry if there is a post about this somewhere, I see plenty on the 2006 and previous chevy’s the “NBS” guides but not any on the 2008-2013 trucks unless I’m missing something. I am an old carb guy and I have a 2008 SWB GMC Sierra with a factory 4.3. I want to put a 5.3 in it, and make it look stock through and through. I have never done a swap for something this new, so I’m going to pay a shop. For my own knowledge sake, I’d like to see a guide and a parts list for what’s exactly needed if anyone is interested in sharing. I’m out of my wheel house here, and appreciate any knowledge or advice. I want to know what will bolt up, what I need, in what order to do it etc,. I apologize if this article exists. The only thing that won’t be stock is the dual exhaust. I’d like for all my gauges, and A/C to work after swap. God Bless.

The parts list doesn't change much on the GMT900 platforum. You need a complete engine wiring harness and ECU for your year. The V6 ECU is different on the GMT900's
