Default 2008 ly6 & asa cam

Hello Everyone!

I have a 2008 LY6 ready to put into a 1996 Chevy C1500
823 HEADS,
ASA CAM, 226/236 .525/.525 110 LSA
CIRCLE D 3200 CONVERTER,
4L80E
PSI Harness

My Question is, does anyone in here have a similar setup? If so how does it run,

Also anyone in here that Can tune an ASA Cam? I live in South Miami.

Thanks

That cam chops like a ****. PM Richard (Atomic Performance). He can get you squared away with a tune.

Hey
I realize I'm a month late in this thread but here it goes anyway

I put the asa in my ls1 camaro and replaced it with a custom spec'd grind within months.

No doubt, the asa sounded bad ***. But that's where the good stopped.

The bad:
power was super low. Picked up 30rwhp after switching to the custom spec cam which was in the neighborhood of 228/232, 113lsa +4, .600 lift.
Also the surging on the asa was ruthless. Even with a tune it wouldn't want to cruise at less than 2500rpm.

The only other good thing about the asa beside the sound was the price. It was a few hundred cheaper and runs less spring than a modern cam. But even considering both those items, still would definitely recommend against it for either street or track use.

Our new HIGH LIFT ASA CAM isnt as anemic as the orig, has .600 lift also and would prob make as much if not mre power than that custom spec cam. Cut on a 110lsa still it CHOPS!!
