Default 2008 5.3 dod delete

I'm sure this has been discussed before. I couldn't find the info though. I picked up a 2008 5.3 with 243s. I believe it's an 08. Anyhow, its 58x and I want to swap it over to 24x because I plan on using a 411 PCM. I also want to delete DOD. Is it even worth the time/effort?

It is only worth it if you want a cam.

There is a ton of info on the things to do to make the 58x work in a 24x truck. All you need is: a 58x to 24x conversion box, move knock sensors, swap your 78mm intake, run a 4 bolt 90mm tb, or a dr x link to run it in a 03-07 classic

I'm putting a ls in my '85 c10. This '08 5.3 came with 243 heads and a Tbss style intake. I am using that intake and a 102 DBC throttle body. I also have a L33 that was a long block with 243s. I'd rather not run the lingenfelter box. I see threads on swapping the reluctor wheels them selves. But is it possible to just swap the cranks?

Sounds to me, if I cant pull everything off this L33 block and make it work on the GenIV, I should just sell both short blocks and get something else.
