Thumbs up 2005 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab Performance Info

I took my 2005 Silverado Crew Cab (5.3L w/3.73) to the track this weekend. The truck only has 700 miles on in and the only mod I've done is 3 inch Exhuast from Y pipe through a Hooker AeroChamber out of factory location. First pass right after driving an hour to the track was 15.80 @ 88.2MPH. Second Pass was 15.66 @ 89.4mph. Third pass was 15.61 @ 89.9 mph. I was kinda of suprised on the first pass because the truck stalled 2000 RPM left spin slightly then seemed to bogg down. On the second and thrid pass I didn't stall it as much (around 1500 rpm) and I didn't just jam it to the floor, instead I just smoothly and quickly put it on the floor. It felt as if it left alot harder but only showed a tenth of second difference in the 60ft. Over all I was happy with the numbers, I didn't expect this big Crew Cab to do this good.

I've ordered a Predator from Runnin With The Devil and a Volant CAI. Looking for some 15.20's in the near future.

Yes you do 13.90's would be pretty darn good for a CC.

Best mine has done to date is 14.76@90.56 mph. With the mods below. I will be getting my headers and cam installed later this month, so we'll see how that works. I'm going to the track as soon as I get the headers and cam dialed in.

Well, I did consider going with the Nelson Tune but I didn't like the Idea of pulling out the factory computer and shipping it to them. I also wanted to be able to return to the stock tune at a moments notice if needed. By going with the Predator from Runnin With The Devil I can run the "generic tune" from DiabloSport, or I can get a Custom Tune from Runnin With The Devil. To me this is the best of both worlds.
