for drivebility, it's almost stock, you'll be happy once your RPM past over 3500.
You won't gain that much from just swapping cam and spring.
10-20HP
Shouldn't you see more if you are FI?

I did. Probably around 40 I'd guess based on E.T. with the 02 Z06 cam

What about the LS1 hot cam. I think it a good cam for the money. 425.00 cam and springs!! I dont no how much power you can get out of it? I think it has like a 525 lift?

I gained over 30 at the wheels with that cam in my '99 Z71 I had. I have the dyno graphs to prove it. A very nice gain over stock and a fun cam to have in a DD. I will definately go bigger in my Ave though.

Gas mileage goes to and makes your truck overall less enjoyable to drive. Is it a daily driver or a race car? Just remember, build and design intelligently, not because you think bigger is better.
not tryin to be an *** or anything but do you have expirience with a bigger cam than the 01 zo6 cam??..for a daily driver 5.3 with a stock converter the comp 212 218 is a great daily driver cam..makes good power pulls very strong and takes off harder than a stock cam..but in a 4.8 like what you have its a little doggy off the start because the lack of cubes but yet once it comes on in a 4.8 its strong..ive played with this cam in a my 5.3 and my buddys 4.8 is the reason why i say this..like ive said if your going through the trouble of changing a cam you might as well make it worth your time

Z06 cam wasn't my first choice, I had custom ground from comp cam but they ground it wrong and unfortunately didn't go in. so Z06 cam was my second choice my mechanic had take out from Z06, had no choice to put that or stock, so I went with LS6cam.

Go with bigger cam if you are swapping cam to LS6.

Not trying to still your sig but what is the biggest cam you can put in with out having to get a tune, or having to put a stall in.

if you swap cam, most likely you need to tune. Idle maybe very rough, you'll definately notice it.
stall, I dont you need to tune after stall install, but it's best if you get it done and tune it, because you could gain more from tuning, also not to mention importance of tuning for various reason. shifting point, revs limits, timing, and etc.
