Thumbs up 2001 v6 to 6.2l v8 swap

Hi guy's new to the board, got a 01' gmc sierra with a 4.3l, 68,000 it blows up. I now have the money for a ls3 engine I need to know if I put this in will I be able to pass emissions. any and all help needed.

If you can get everything associated with the motor you will pass emissions. Visual or function.

I would do a 6.0 with bolt-ons and a cam becouse it looks like a 4.8-5.3 and they did come in that truck. Plus the accesorie drive would work for the truck where as a corvette set-up could be a bit wide down low. Add on some L-92 heads which are cheap and flow like the mississippi.

Plus LS-3's being Corvette theres going to be very few cheap parts compared to a massed produced set-up, and you have very little real world acceleration differences.

a 6.0l would be the easier and cheaper and you could get one with everything on it from a junk yard with a wireing harness and comp.... then just put a cam and heads and some bolt ons and tune

thanks guys I'm looking into as we speak. a/c would deffianately be easier.
