Default 01 - 4.8 to 09 - 6.2

I also wanted to know about putting in a 08 6.2l vortec with active management.
I am very mechanically inclined and lots of connections with gm.

I would wonder if blackbear could tune my ecu for that. And if there would be any extra wiring would required. I know it's fly by wire, I know 03-07 you can change it over to my original cable throttle. But is that possible to do on 07+?

Nice so that would be almost a simple plug and play harness for the crank. Do you think the rest would basically bolt up since its just over bored 6.0? I just don't want to have to change computer would be a pain to get my dad to fix.

I have a 07 suburban with a 5.3(lc9) that I'm replacing. According to the Haynes manual I have, it's says there is multiple 6.0's I can put in it. Anyone have any info on this swap?

Smile Looking to swap my motor

Hey fellas (and ladies if their in here too!)

I'm a newb at this whole custom truck/car game. I have a 2002 chevy tahoe LT with a 5.3 motor in it. 171k on the original motor and body and the motor recently started to give me some trouble. My mechanic advised me to think about rebuilding or buying a new motor as opposed to trying to fix everything that was starting to break down on the old one. SOOOOO my question to anyone who can possibly help me is if i consider swapping the motor, can i 1. upgrade to a 6.0 and 2. if i can, what and where should i be looking to purchase a motor. Pretty sure they don't have a motor grocery store near my house in NJ lol.

Any advice, ideas, thoughts, wisedom would be extremely appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I found one in NJ through AA Auto Salvage with 30k miles for 2k. It's from a 2009 2500 silverado salvage. I'm actually going with a new crate engine I found, so i won't be buying this one. Maybe they still have the motor?

You will use the 2002 wiring harness & computer. If the Tahoe uses a throttle cable you will use the Tahoe's throttle body. If the Tahoe has a return fuel line (two fuel lines) you will need the Tahoe's return fuel rails as the 06 is a returnless system. It's probably easier to just swap the intake over to the newer engine. Use your Tahoe's flexplate and transmission. Should be an easy engine swap.
