Default 2 1/2 or 3 in exhaust

I ordered some headers today & thought might as well
change the exhaust too. Should i stay with 2 1/2 or
go 3in ? And what mufflers to go with it?
thanks,scott

You didn't mention which engine/chassis combination you have but I'm assuming either the 4.8L or 5.3L. If you're going with duals, I'd go with 2.5 or smaller. Going with a single-in/single-out high-flow muffler and a single 3" exit will probably give you the best performance and MPG, but duals will provide the sound and 'cool' factor.
