BFG drag radials are some sticky suckers when they get warm. My brother in laws big block car will rip your head off with the 15 BFG drag radials from a stop. There is nothing special about his suspension either. Oh yeah, it's a stick car too which shocks the hell outta the tires.

Nittos come in second IMO.

With my 20s I can blow off the tires all the way through the eighth mile mark So I am trying to get some tire ideas.

I have the 245/50/r16 on the back of my truck.
I spun them in the burnout box WITHOUT going through the water. I went around the water. I got up to the line. Stalled up to about 1600 rpms ( I still have the stock stall) and launched without the Nitrous activated. I get about 10 feet out and spray. I spin comming off the line N/A. When I spray in the middle of first gear I spin pretty bad.

My 60 foot was a 2.2. There were guys there on stock tires running 2.0 60 foots.

I do. Uhh Im not really sure how much HP im pushing. I know im no where near that. Don't hurt my feelings like that.

well I mean honestly what do you expect with 245's? That is a pretty darn small tire for the power and WEIGHT you are trying to get up and move! The only other question I would have is are these Nitto 555r's or Nitto drags? Big difference in traction there also obviously.

Okay, 245s are kind of thin. Why not 275,295,or 305s?

Jim did you find a rim yet?

I say go with the 18's. I rode in a Z06 M6 with an ATI Procharger and 12PSI boost, and he had 305 Nitto DR's on the back and never spun any. He ran 11.2's with no spin off the line.

Are the '05 drums too large for 15's? I know that you can convertolder 10-bolts to discs...would it be possible to convert our discs to drums?

interco/racemaster (m+h) has a set of 30x14(or 14.5")x16 cheater slick, they need tube and are kind expencive, but they are the same height as the 255x70x16 stockers. they say to use a 10" rim i think
