If it ran in open loop it would. There isn't any affect on mileage with our trucks, 160-stock wise.

Just as long as you don't drive in cold winter weather, but your in texas so unless hell freezes it won't be cold in texas.

I used to swap 160 for summer, stock for winter. There cheap and its easy as hell to do the bb mod which technically equals the 160. Now that I will be in a warmer climate year round I will just leave it in.

whats up folks,,,,,,,,,just a note on running a 160 t stat,,,,,,it will open sooner (160 as opposed to 195-200) but it will not stay at that temp,,,the engine still creates enough heat to keep warm for lack of better terminology,,,example,,,my truck used to run at 205-210 stock,,after the 160 t stat,,,it runs at 185,,and i live in southern cali,,occasionally it will creep up to 190-195 with the air conditioner blasting,,so if your worried about open/closed loop,,dont,,,theres still plenty of temp left,,have a great day guys
