Default 160* thermostat

where can i find one for cheap.

and is 160* or 180* thermo better.

i go mine off of ebay for $50. it is labled as an LS1 160* powerstat.

SLP has a 160 for 20 bucks. Of course if you do not tell your fans to come on any soner it will keep you at 180.

FWIW, my understanding is the 180* is better with our truck motors. Regardless, I think you're going to need custom tuning to take advantage (power-wise) of the lower operating temp. Hopefully, some of our more knowledgeable members will confirm or refute that.

Go 180, If you go with a 160 you will lose 2-3 MPG

i went to autozone today lookin for a 180* thermostat. they were lookin to see if they had the part on the cpu. I was overlookin and saw 187* stat 19.99 180* stat 31.99 another 187* and a 160* thermosstat for 59.99!

and they wer out of 180* ones at o rielys

Why does a 160* stat lower ur fuel economy 2-3 mpg

i work at their competitor and we sell the 160 for 20 bucks.
