XLR I know you are getting a pretty big motor with lots of power, but are you going to use it as a daily driver, or just a track and weekend type vehicle. I think it would kick *** as a daily driver and really be a sleeper, but the gas mileage might sux. I think you should go with 4.10s since you are getting slicks, 4.10s kick ***.

Cash - I'll probably use it as a daily driver for a while. That's one of the reasons I want to try and stay with a 3.42 or even try a 3.23 gear. The gear all depends on what tire I can get to hook though. That's one of the reasons I'm going to swap in the 4L80E. I didn't want a transmission that might leave me stranded someplace with the way I like to crack the throttle open.
That's the beauty of a stall converter. It does pretty much all the work off the line. The gear you choose really just becomes a choice of what is going to get you across the finish line at the best rpm.
I figure the converter and 422 will take care of the 60' time and the 2.48 first gear of the 4L80E. Then a little before half track I should hit second and fall back on the converter until about half track or a little after. Then the motor will take over in what should be a sweet torque spot and pull threw the traps. I've been thinking about this for a while.
One other thing about the 3.42's....They're FREE!! which at this point is very nice.

Dont have an answer for the 5 lugg, but you can always grind the excess off your calipers. I did it and rode on some 15's for a whyle, it's fairly easy. The best part is it's free as long as you have a grinder. All I did was put the 15 on and easily turn it to see where it was hitting the caliper and then grinded it off. Took about 2 hours to do, I drove around my yard took the wheels off and checked for any rubbing and then put e'm back on. Another + is being able to put the stock 16's back on. Thats just a thought for somthing you can do until someone comes out with a conversion lugg kit. Hope this helps.
