If you decide on the Thorley Tri-y's you might want to get the chrome ones because I ordered a set of ceramic coated onesfrom Summit on 8/19 /2004 and am still waiting wor Thorley to send them to Summit so they can ship them to me.

I've thought about buying some of those cheap *** summit shorties for aboout 160, extending the pipes a little and putting a bad *** collector on there for about 150, and having them coated by Jet-Hot (sponsor) for about another 150. All said and done, I'd be about 500 in them, doing the work myself, and I would have a bad *** set of long tubes. Just a thought, I've been toying with for awhile.

Damn, you must know somebody at Jet Hot! They quoted me nearly twice that to coat a set of LT headers.

Although seriously ugly underhood, I prefer Swaintech over Jet Hot coatings. On top of that, I believe the price is a little more attractive.

Plus, power is not necessarily just additive. You may only gain 15 RWHP from a set of long tubes, but when/if you do other mods, these mods could be affected by your exhaust capability. For example, if you get a blower and bolt it onto your otherwise stock setup, you might gain 100 RWHP. However, if had previously put a set of headers on (for let's say a 15 RWHP gain at the time) and then you get the blower, you could end up realizing a 110 RWHP gain from what would seem just the blower. But, in actuality, your headers would have contributed 25 HP, rather than just the obvious (initial) 15 HP. Something to think about.

if you plan on making any kind of large power motor then they will help out but you obviously would not have a problem spending the money then i hope because the two words cheap and speed do not go well together if you are looking for something basic that is pretty decent you could also among some of the others that have been listed like the thorleys go with edelbrocks i have em and they are pretty alright
