a few people here said what i would say a 15.7-16.2 pass...but i have a good friend that raced a 00'single cab 4.8 will exhaust and all freebie mods done and his best pass in 40degree weather and only 30% humidity at no promlem raceway was 15.79 i dont see a an almost identical truck going any better than a 15.9 in this weather its spring now and with weather this warm you cant expect to run too well in cooler weather next winter you can maybe expect some 15.7 passes and as for whoever said they beat single cab 4.8 trucks in a z71 with a 5.3 i gotta throw up the BS flag im sorry but i have seen a 92 single cab v6 only lose by half a truck length to a 5.3 z71 sorry buddy but your z is not that fast unless you are parish8

I don't see why it is so hard to believe.
My truck (RCSB 2wd, 4.8L, 3.73s) bone stock at a 4460lb raceweight and 87 octane, went 15.5@89.9mph on a 2.3 60' on my 4th run.
My other 2 timeslips were:
2nd run
60': 2.340
ET: 15.566
MPH: 88.755
3rd run
60': 2.330
ET: 15.538
MPH: 88.169
The DA was about 500ft if I remember correctly. The only diff. was me manually shifting it at as close to 6k as I could.
Wheel spin was completely rediculous! My first run was an 18sec with a 3.6 60'!! I couldn't leave the line hard at all. I have no doubt that I could have pulled at least a 2.1 60' if I could find traction with these 20s. I'm putting the Caltracs on and doing a quick tune before I take it out one more time and gonna try for a 14 with the stock motor, exhaust, and trans.
