06' VortecMax
#1
Hello all, I have an 06' VortecMax Chevy, I would like to know of any performance mods that anyone has upgraded their own v-max's with. It already has a lot of power but I wanna be sure to beat all those Hemi dodges and upgraded Ford's out there.

Yessir, there are a ton of mods that you can do, here's some reading that should get you started off...

Search around this place and you'll find a ton of info about what works and what doesn't...I'd start off with beefing up the trans to help handle the mods that you will be doing. Start off with a Transgo HD2 shift kit, a Corvette 1-2 and billet 3-4 servo, and a TruCool 40k trans cooler. Then decide if you want to go forced induction or stay naturally aspirated. Choose a cam and maybe head combination, and get a higher stall torque converter that is matched to that combo to get you into your powerband quicker. Long tube headers, a cat-back, custom exhaust, or muffler to help exhale, and a cold air intake, be it home made or store bought to help get air in. Custom PCM tuning is a given, we have the best tuners as sponsors, take your pick. I'm going with BlackBear, but Wheatley and Nelson all have stellar reputations
