Default 06 sierra, need advise

hello. I have an 06 sierra CC 4.8 Auto. I was looking under the hood yesterday and made these observations. There is no EGR valve that i can see. There is no air-injection system for the cats. There are no throttle cables. This thing has an electronic throttle, lol.

I have narrowed my exhaust choice down to 2 mufflers. I will be dumping after the rear end. my choices are

hooker aero-chamber
flowmaster 40 series

I am am looking for better sound, better gas mileage. I will also do k&n drop in filter.

will these mods give me a better throttle response? even though it's electric.

I was told that GM backs Corsa Exhausts with their warrenty. That is the route that I went with my 06 Silverado! Love it!

If I had to choose between the Hooker and the Flowmaster, I would get the Hooker, stay away from flowmaster.

i had a 40 series flowmaster put on today. i didn't dump it. i used the stock pipe out the side. i'm pleased with the way it sounds. i know they don't flow as good as the rest of the muflflers, but it sounds great. it's got to flow better than the stock muffler. i'm not trying to make it go faster. i'm trying to make it sound better. mission accomplished.

if i could have heard some sound clips of the hooker on a setup close to mine i might have chosen differently. i'll keep this on for a while. when i het tired of it i'll try a hooker.
